Can I buy touch-up paint for my bike? |
All of our bikes are finished with an epoxy powder coat. This is electro-statically applied and then baked in an oven. It is not a liquid and you cannot apply it without specialist powder coating equipment. To touch up small scratches try and find a suitable coloured car touch up paint. Please mail sales@orangebikes.co.uk if you find a touch up colour paint which exactly matches one of our finishes. We will add a page to the site with this information |

How much does a specific model weigh? |
We never quote weights in our brochure, we prefer that you visit a shop and compare bike for bike rather than what someone has decided the brochure weight of their bike should be. Factors affecting bike weights include size, stem length and even colour. Some paint finishes have three coats of epoxy powder and at approx. 80 gms per coat a bike with three coats will weight 160 gms more than a one coat finish. |

Can you help with my school/college/university project? |
Unfortunately not, we receive so many requests that it is impossible to be able to assist everyone. We have to concentrate upon designing and building bikes and do not have time to be able to help with projects. Wish we could, but it just isn't practical. |

Where can I purchase a replacement set of decals for my bike? |
We keep replacement decal sets for almost all the models we have produced. They may be a different style or colour to the ones originally fitted to your bike as we have changed printers over the years. A new decal set cost £15 and can be ordered from sales@orangebikes.co.uk please include bike model, colour and also the frame number from underneath the bottom bracket shell. We cannot supply a decal set without this. Occasionally we may not be able to provide the exact colour of sticker but we will try and offer an alternative. |

What size bike should I buy? |
The only way to tell if a bike is going to be the right size is to actually sit on it. You are probably going to spend a lot of time on your bike and the most important thing is to make sure it is comfortable for you. Try different sizes (most people can ride bikes in two sizes), find the one you feel most comfortable on, play around with saddle position fore and aft, make sure the reach to the bars does not leave you to stretched out or too close to the bars. All Orange Premier Dealers should be able to assist you with this. |

My frame could do with re-painting. How much does it cost and how do I go about getting I done? |
Re-paints are done by prior arrangement only either through your dealer or directly with the factory. The service costs for a Hardtail is £150 including decals and £175 for all full suspension frame which includes fitting a new pivot bearing kit and both costs include return postage to anywhere in the UK. Shipping costs outside the UK are P.O.A. Once you have arranged to have your frame re-painted, we need the frame only sending to the factory (see 'contact' for address) with a covering letter including colour choice, your address and a contact phone number. Colour choice must be a current colour scheme (see bike specs in our bikes section for colour names). we may or may not still carry the original colour of your frame depending upon how old it is. Also, for the same reason we may no longer have the original decals, in which case, we will apply decals closest to the original look of the bike. Please note that we do require the frame stripping of all components or an additional charge will be made. Important Notes: You must remove all stickers that are over lacquer yourself. Even though our magic tub strips paint it doesn't take the stickers off. We've got better things to do than peeling off duct tape from your frame! But by way of a quick tip: Use a hair dryer to help you, it softens the adhesive and makes the vinyl more pliable. Sorry to be so blunt, but if we receive "stickered" frames we will charge for their removal. Unclaimed Frames: From time to time, it does happen that we receive unsolicited frames sent with incorrect or no contact details, hence why we stress you must send your frame by prior arrangement. In cases where we are unable to contact frame owners then the frame will be disposed of after a period of 6 months. |

My frame has developed a crack but is out of warranty. Is it possible to have it repaired and how much is it going to cost? |
This all depends on where, and how bad the crack is. A repair can take up to 4-6 weeks. For an estimate we would require the frame back to inspect. Please contact warranty@orangebikes.co.uk for further details. |
