It's all too easy to sit back and get lazy when the days are short and the trails soggy, but when you've agreed to sign the Tans Provence route, training is definitely needed. Rich Norgate is one of the Halifax locals and between sliding around the steep sided valleys of Calderdale he gets out and guides riders around the Alps. A graphic designer by (money earning) trade, he can also turn his hand to a nicely inspirational bike video...

Riding from Elland to Hebden, this video opitomises what winter riding is all about, a long day with good friends on trails straight from your doorstep. Trail centres rock and they're a great resource in winter, but getting out on the moors brings a whole new perspective to the joys of December. Enjoy...
