For the 2007 Downhill Racing season we are continuing to work with Team Mojo and also 2006 World Champion Tracey Hannah from Australia starts her first senior season again on Orange.

On the Adventure Racing circuit, Team Saab Salomon continue to choose Orange bikes for their mountain biking endurance events

Team Orange History

Up until last year the majority of the publicity has mainly surrounded our, then Team leader, Steve Peat. Peaty came to us in 2002 when his previous sponsor suffered financial problems, and he felt the need for a complete change of direction. The result was instant success. And in his first season he achieved his life-long ambition and became World cup champion. (Taking the title off Greg Minnaar who had won, again on Orange DH rig.) Success continued, and as such, he stole the headlines.

It made Orange look a big player in a financially fuelled environment where the top riders can easily make six figure sums. And yet, although Orange has achieved a collection of titles the envy of all the manufacturers, it kinda misleads where the success has come from. It has been accomplished through our backing of up-and-coming talent and supplying them a bike which performs on all types of terrain.

Although we mention titles achieved, we are equally proud with the list of riders we have in some way helped in fulfilling their dreams and now are a major player top peleton of DH stars. The list is extensive but even if we name the three most recent winners Greg Minnaar- current world cup champion and previous wearer of the coveted rainbow jersey, started of his transition from junior to senior career on an Orange and ended up winning the World cup series on it. Mick Hannah, winner of the first world cup of 2006, when still a Junior Claimed his first senior World cup win on an Orange. Matti Lehikoinen, most recent winner of a World cup round, started of his rise through the junior and senior ranks through an Orange.

You can see that Orange have established a link in supporting riders when they are young. Which leads on to where we have concentrated our efforts for 2006. Maybe you can fill in, or get themselves to do it, Brendan, Tracey, Dan Stanbridge, Mojo team, Lee Bertram. Paul Murrin etc.
