Orange Elite Frame/Fork Package
February 10 2011
The Elite is an aluminium rocket ship, a race oriented hardtail that’s happy on the trails or the track. Pushing the limits of what’s possible with aluminium, it has been popular as a frame only option, with riders frequently requesting an accompanying fork and headset…
Rather predictably, we thought we’d help with the build process and offer a package to make custom that little bit more tempting. The ultimate lightweight aluminium frame twinned with a buttery smooth tapered Fox 32 F-RL fork. The package will include a Hope headset and stalk stem to keep the sleek front end turning. The best bit? Retailing at £899.99, the package brings over £300 in savings. Bargain…
Belief, denial, euphoria, struggle, victory – choose what emotive hyperbole you will, the Elite series of bikes have always brought reason to XC madness. The link between track and rider, the pain and pleasure, the taking part and the winning. This 2011 Orange Elite is reigniting the old race flame. The Elite is bringing the hard men back to the fore.
Experience and heritage laces with technology to create a bike that takes everything from the old and combines it with the new. XC is still sublimely simple, pedal as hard as you can from start to finish, all the Elite does is provide the edge. No carbon wizardry, just the finest quality custom double-butted aluminium tube set. Stiffness and rigidity that delivers instant power and forces every millimetre out of your pedal stroke. This is the best XC hardtail we have ever produced.
Geometry is whipped towards aggression with a 70° head angle and 73° seat angle. This is about XC finesse but without an over-the-bar cockpit feel, an XC bike you can ride with sure-footed confidence. A tapered head tube adds front-end stiffness with our signature wishbone keeping things rigid and accurate at the back.
Any given Sunday, on the race track or the bridleways. The Elite is fast, comfortable and responsive...
Don't be fooled by the race heritage of the Elite, it also makes a good lightweight XC bike for your local two hour blast. It's a bike comfortable with a day in the Dales, or as a direct riding speed machine around a swoopy trail centre red run. With angles honed, it climbs with precision and efficiency, but with typical Orange characteristics keeping it fun in the turns. Race or rail, become part of the Elite.
The Orange Elite frameset offer is available in all frame sizes but limited numbers.
