IMPORTANT! If you choose NOT to register your bike, it will still be covered by a 3 year limited warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty excludes the 279, or other Orange downhill or competition bike derivatives, which are covered by a separate 1 Year Racing Warranty.

On all models the paint finish is covered for a period of 1 year.

All suspension forks, rear shocks (if fitted) and components (other than those made by Orange) shall be covered by the stated warranty of their manufacturer. Warranty claims for suspension forks, rear shocks and components should be sent to the representative of the manufacturer via the supplying dealer.

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of a defective frame, fork or component part and is the sole remedy of the warranty. The owner will also be responsible for any labour and postage costs involved and the cost of any additional components required.

This warranty applies only to a bicycle purchased from Orange Mountain Bikes Limited or a retailer authorised by Orange Mountain Bikes Limited.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear,
  • Improper assembly (such as crossed bottom bracket threads),
  • Damage due to poor maintenance
  • Damage or failure due to accident, abuse, collision impact (e.g. flared headtube)
  • Neglect (e.g. chainstay chipping, cables rubbing through paint)
  • Frame protection kits (eg: Invisiframe or Ride Wrap) are not covered under Orange Bikes warranty.

The warranty will be invalidated by:

  • Installation of parts and accessories not originally intended for, or compatible with the bicycle as sold.
  • Fitting or modification of rear suspension units not supplied as original equipment
  • Fitting suspension forks with travel longer than the recommended maximum, (shown on each model's geometry information)
  • Incorrect fitting of a dropper seatpost Click here for information
  • Any non-standard treatment to the frame such as stripping, polishing, repainting and application of non-approved adhesive frame protectors.

Main pivot bearings are covered for manufacturing failures. In general bearings are 'wear and tear' items and require routine maintenance - this will need doing frequently if you ride your bike in wet and muddy conditions or use a jet-washer heavily. If you believe your pivot bearings have failed due to manufacturing fault please contact your dealer.

Orange Mountain Bikes reserve the right not to warranty bicycles, frames or components which in their opinion have been used for riding conditions outside the limits indicated for each model. These limits are shown on the Ride Guide and geometry information featured on each model's webpage in the geometry section. Your Orange dealer can provide clarification of these categories and the intended use for individual models, if required.

The warranty excludes bicycles used for competition, speed or time trials, hire, reward or rental. Orange Mountain Bikes Limited shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages.

Claims under this warranty are to be made with Orange Mountain Bikes Limited or through an authorised Orange dealer.

The frame only (unless specified) must be returned to Orange Mountain Bikes Limited via the authorised Orange dealer to allow inspection of all the components and parts. Proof of purchase is required and warranty registration must have been received by Orange Mountain Bikes Limited before warranty claims can be processed. in the event of a claim, the warranty period is not extended, it is always based on the date of the original purchase.

This limited warranty does not apply to damage caused by collision, crashing, trick riding, riding with heavy loads, commercial activities, or any similar activities or misuse; such uses may damage the bicycle, can cause serious injury to the rider, and in all cases will void this warranty.

This warranty does not take the place of any legal and contractual rights between the supplying dealer and the owner. In the event of a problem the owner should contact the supplying dealer in the first instance.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under applicable national law.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

If you think you have a warranty claim, it is important you follow the proper procedure.

In the first instance you must contact the Orange dealer from where you purchased your bike. They will assist you with any queries you may have.

Carbon Fibre Frames

If your carbon fibre frame suffers a significant impact then its integrity may well be compromised and we would recommend replacement. Even if there appear to be no visual signs, the frame could be damaged internally leading to possible failure and cause injury.  In an instance where such damage occurs we are extending our Acidental Damage Replacement Offer to also cover carbon fibre frames.

Useful Product Lifecycle

Every Orange bicycle and frameset has a useful product life cycle. The length of that useful product life cycle will vary with the construction and materials of the bicycle or frameset, the maintenance and care the bicycle or frameset receives over its useful product life cycle, and the type and amount of use the bicycle or frameset is subject to. Uses in competitive events, trick riding, ramp riding, jumping, aggressive riding, riding on severe terrain, riding in severe climates, riding with heavy loads, commercial activities and other types of non standard use can dramatically shorten the useful product life cycle of an Orange mountain bike or frameset. Any one or a combination of these conditions may result in an unpredictable failure of an Orange Mountain Bike or frameset that would not be covered by this warranty.

All Orange Mountain Bikes and framesets should be checked before every ride and periodically checked by an authorised Orange dealer, for indicators of stress and/or potential failure, including cracks, deformation, corrosion, paint peeling, paint rubbing, dents and any other indicators of potential problems, inappropriate use, or abuse.

If any abnormality or indication of a problem is found the bicycle should be returned to an authorised Orange dealer for further checks before being ridden again. These are important safety checks and very important to help prevent accidents, bodily injury to the rider and shortened useful product life cycle of an Orange Mountain Bikes bicycle or frameset.

IMPORTANT NOTE: this warranty applies only to the original owner and is not transferable.

Staple your original purchase receipt to the warranty card you received with your Orange bike and keep in a safe place. The Orange Mountain Bikes Registration Card must be completed in full, including being stamped and signed by your dealer. Failure to do so may affect any claim.
